Chasing Adventure Kickstarter Shipments Are Out! What’s Next?

Shipments Have Been Sent

Today the second of two big shipments have gone out, totaling 127 parcels of roughly 150 books – all over the past 5 days. Over the next few weeks smaller shipments will go out here and there as people continue to confirm shipping, but the initial rush is done.

Backers who paid for shipping should have received an email from Canada Post with their tracking code (check your junk/spam folder if you missed it).

Thank you everyone so much for supporting this game! It felt a bit surreal to receive and hold the physical copies of this game, even after the test copy I had months earlier.

What’s Next

With the completion of Kickstarter Fulfillment on the horizon, what else is coming down the line for Chasing Adventure? Well, here are just a few things that are well on their way:

  • Additional Playbooks. One of this campaign’s stretch goals was to include additional playbooks (Monk, Artificer, and Monster) for free digitally and as part of the printed book. While that stretch goal wasn’t reached, I’ve still been designing these playbooks and plan to release them as a digital bundle when they’re ready.
  • Expanding Digital Support. This means further improving the Roll20 sheet, creating sheets in Foundry, other VTTs, and even Google Sheets.
  • Website Upgrade. The existing Chasing Adventure site will be expanded to include a repository of fan-made Chasing Adventure playbooks and content, and a web store for future book purchases.

If you’re interested in a specific playbook, supplement, or similar material for Chasing Adventure, feel free to let me know!

Sneak Peak At My Next Big Game

Play ingredient cards in stacks to build sandwiches, complete orders, sabotage opponents, earn points, and win the game! Breadwinner is a lighthearted casual-yet-complex game that I’ve been designing since before even Chasing Adventure. It’s in the final stages of playtesting now, and I’m softly aiming for a Spring 2025 crowdfunding campaign.

I plan to release more information about the game early next year, including previews, a print & play copy, a digital version, and more. If you want to keep up-to-date with it, keep an eye out here or head to this page to get email updates.

That’s all for now!

– Spencer
