Stampede Food Reviews Part 2

I didn’t expect to return to Stampede, but I did, and so here is some more food.

Chili Lime Popcorn Shrimp

Price: $17.50

This was very good. Each of the ingredients complimented each other perfectly, and it was one of the more complex dishes at stampede. The portion was quite sizeable, the picture made it look a bit small, but this box was long. I would like a stronger taste of lime, but that’s just a preference as the flavor was still very present. 9/10

Korean BBQ Fries

Price: $15.00

The quantity of good and ingredient proportions were both great, but the quality left a lot to be desired. I can enjoy fries both crispy and soggy, but these ones were so inbetween that they just felt bland. Similarly, the pulled pork didn’t have very strong flavor to it either, and though I’m not familiar enough with Kimchi to really critique it, I only sometimes tasted it. I didn’t dislike it, but there wasn’t much there to like either. 6/10

Honey Habanero Ice Pop

Price: $6.00

A good strong honey flavor, and the habanero spice added heat to the back of my throat quite often. Licking it was good like all similar treats, and when biting it the texture of the ice pop was perfect. I wasn’t a huge fan of the flavor profile, and so it wore off its welcome a bit over time. Overall this is a great walkaround snack, especially if you like the flavor yourself.

6/10 for me, 8/10 if you like honey and/or heat.

Kikiam

Price: $7.00

This is probably the biggest difference between official and unofficial pictures I’ve seen, but this treat was delicious. It reminds me a bit of Takoyaki, with a great mix of breading, fish, and vegetable flavors. The dipping sauce was a mild fruity sweet and sour vinaigrette-like flavor, which improved it even further. I only wish there was more of it. 8/10

Note that I had to find somewhere to sit down in order to put the cup down to open the dipping sauce. If you are alone you may have similar trouble.

Samosas on a Stick

Price: $12:00

The samosas were pretty good, with the well-distributed sauce adding more flavoring to it. It was a bit dry, which is normal for samosas but still worth noting, but overall fairly enjoyable. 7/10
